About FBCS
History
First Baptist Christian School was organized in 1982. It was the goal of the founders of FBCS to train children in self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. In addition, FBCS is committed to providing students with an exceptional academic foundation for future learning.
Chapel
Each Wednesday morning, the school has a Chapel time in the Sanctuary. This non-denominational devotional is a time of learning Bible stories, life applications, prayer, and singing songs of praise. Families are invited to join their child at any time for Chapel.
Curriculum
The First Baptist Christian School academic program is of the highest quality and commands respect in excellence. The A Beka curriculum is unashamaedly Christian and traditional to its approach emphasizing strong phonics, math, and Biblical concepts. Students also learn sight words and practice writing daily.
Field Trips
Field trips are a fun and exciting extension of the classroom and make for memorable learning experiences. Some FBCS field trips have included: local businesses, fire station, nursing homes, zoo, library, museums, and much more. Families are always welcome on field trips at FBCS!
Facility
First Baptist Christian School's spacious facility, along with low student to teacher ratio, make for the ideal learning environment. The Glenn Morgan Children's Library, gym, playground, and computer lab are just a few of the amenities avialable to FBCS teachers and students.
